Battling eating disorders, yo-yo dieting & trying every FAD.
After battling eating disorders, yo-yo dieting and trying every fad diet under the sun. I've gone from starving myself with low calorie diet shakes to purging because I was so unhappy with myself.
Lisa supported me with my eating disorder, she was always there at the end of the phone if my head was in a spin and stopped me many times from purging due to stress. She taught me that loosing body fat takes time, takes consistency and that it doesn't happen over night and that's ok. She taught me how to live my life in a healthy way, mind AND body and she brought me a whole new bunch of friends.
For me, it's not just about loosing my body fat. I have gained so much confidence in myself. I haven't always had an easy time, like a lot of ladies in the crew, life can be cruel but we all gather around one another and support each other and for me it has changed my life. I used to hide away, scared to go out with friends, scared to do things for myself and now I am enjoying nights out, weekends away and enjoying my time with my children making amazing memories together.

I would always look for that "quik fix" and thinking the less I eat the less weight I will loose. During lockdown I came across Lisa's home workouts wich got me back into exercising more. I decided to bite the bullet and join her coaching programme where I learned the importance of fuling my body, and how important the basics are such as drinking water and sleep, this put me on the road to maintain a healthier lifestyle.

I joined thisfit crew over lockdown and started diet coaching in December 2020 and what a journey it has been! I have learnt so much and still am…it’s not all about exercise and the number on the scales it’s so much more!

Measuring success in workouts not the scales.
Lisa is one of our members who now measures success in her workouts rather than in numbers on the scales. Albeit she has done amazing and lost 20lb & 25.5 inches, once you lose weight the results in numbers slows down and you need to focus your energy on the process and long-term benefits. Changing your body composition (aka toning up) requires time, consistency and discipline.

I have never felt deprived
I have never felt deprived in fact I've probably eaten more than I ever have just by making better choices/more protein. I didn't realise how much I have lost until I looked back at all the photos
I have never been motivated to work out
I have never been motivated to work out. However our trainer is honestly superb and an excellent trainer/motivator.
I decided to take the plunge at the start of January and join this fit crew to become fitter and healthier in my body... little did I know at that time it would also help me become fitter and healthier with my mental health
I've suffer with severe anxiety for years it became worse when having children to the point of I didn't leave my house I couldn't even face people in the local shop my husband would have to run my errands because I was just to anxious! Before joining this fit crew I would have easily 5 anxiety attacks a week.
My husband has commented on how my moods are so much better! I'm happy to walk to the shop and run errands as they are needed to be done and I actually now want to join a gym. Which for someone who has the biggest fear of judgment is a massive step!
I cannot thank Lisa and this fit crew for completely changing my life!

Exercise can be fun and not used as punishment
Thank you so much! You've taught me so much about food! And that exercise can be fun not used as punishment. I've honestly come such a long way with your help!! I've done so many fad diets I would not be where I am without you. I'd never have thought l'd be happy and willing to work out 5/6 times a week and enjoy it.

This is consistency!
This is consistency! Muscle growth, fat loss and all round change in body composition. The difference in time? 2.5 years! Total loss is only 10.lbs and 23inches but it’s all in the right places and we’ve added to the right places too 😂 also this was all done AT HOME!
This is a reality check though - results like this don’t happen in weeks. A change in body composition takes time.
But with time comes habit and understanding that has allowed Maria to move more towards intuitive eating through food choices and listening to your body.

My clothes didn’t fit, I badly binged on junk food
I joined thisfitmum in 2021 and haven’t looked back. My clothes didn’t fit, I badly binged on junk food and I was so unhappy in myself, that I knew I had to do something about it. I joined the 6 week diet coaching and have been hooked ever since! Learning the tools for fat loss, calories, portion control and exercise changed my life.
Having a healthy lifestyle has made such a difference to my joints and my ability to run around with my children. I enjoy doing my workouts and exercise quickly became a part of my routine. I’m fitter and healthier than I’ve ever been.

Gained so much in confidence
You seem to half lost half of you!!! But gained so much in confidence, knowledge, control over your diet & lifestyle and winning at life whilst still enjoying everything you love.
It’s not easy, it’s consistency and work but with the right tools it’s so much easier rather than yo-yoing on FADs and shakes and ‘fat loss products’ - Thisfitcrew is about health, physical and mental health. Learning to love and look after the skin we’re in!

This journey has totally changed my whole mind set
I can't believe the difference!! Thank you so much for all of your support and teaching me a new way to just be and live life! This journey has totally changed my whole mind set and I couldn't be more grateful. The effort you put in to making working out fun, putting on the challenges to keep us motivated, that's why I've stuck to it. The food has been an education but without you at the forefront leading the way I reckon I'd have gone off the rails a while ago. So a well bloody done to you to creating an amazing crew to push us all and keep us all on track. Thank you xx
I hated looking at myself in the mirror
When I joined I hated looking at myself in the mirror and felt caught in a permanent cycle of dieting and binge eating, which culminated me losing weight fast, to just put it all back on again and more. It certainly wasn't healthy and definitely not good for my confidence or mental health.
My goal has changed since joining, originally it was to lose weight! I was pretty obsessed with the scales. If there is anything that I have learnt from Lisa is that weight is only one way of measuring and it cannot be relied upon. Trust the process, take photos and measurements and take the number on the scales with a pinch of salt, because they can fluctuate for many reasons and do not show the whole picture.
I would now say my goal is to be comfortable in my skin and to be able to wear a swimsuit on holiday with pride, have confidence with my body and to keep working towards being the best version of myself I can be. That includes fitness and healthy eating, but it doesn't mean cutting out everything enjoyable.

From a size 20 to 10 - fitter and happier
I joined this fit crew and was size 18/20 struggling with my mental health and turning to food whenever stressed anxious or unhappy. Lisa and the crew have supported me and taught me how to live my life to the full and turning to exercise and healthy eating instead of binge eating. I am now fitter and happier and after losing 5 stone I am now in dress size 10/12.
55 with menopause belly, I was ready to give up
I was ready to give up - all I heard was you are nearly 55 🤪 it’s menopause belly it’s something you just got to get use to . Life’s to short eat what you want !! Yes life is short and I don’t want to be unfit and unhealthy so I can’t enjoy it so I found Lisa ❤️ she understood , listened and did my plan around me not the masses . So yes I am nearly 55 but no menopause belly and fitter and healthier than I was 6 weeks ago - so watch this space for the next 6 weeks .
I am so happy with my results
I completed the 12 week shred and I am so happy with my results! I also did the Fit Mum photoshoot which was an incredible experience and I would definitely do it again. It helped my confidence a lot and made me feel sexy. Lisa is a great coach and I would highly recommend her. I can't wait to work with her in the future.

I have never been able to get to the place I am now on any other method.
A hugely positive experience. I joined after a colleague had been successful in loosing a large amount of weight . Lisa's approach is never judgemental, always there to listen and to offer solid research based tailored advice. Her energy and enthusiasm for what she does is incredible and she's constantly thinking of new ideas/ strategies and recipes to help you reach your goal.
